3 Genius Reasons To Fall For Hanky Panky’s New BARE Collection

Hanky Panky BARE Godiva High Rise Thong

Talk about a cult following: Hanky Panky‘s signature lace thongs are to lingerie as Maybelline Great Lash mascara is to makeup—that desert-island product most women couldn’t imagine their lives without. So when the brand recently launched the BARE collection, its new take on invisible skivvies, we had to dish with J.D. Breen, the Hanky Panky “Glam Guru” (yep, his business card doesn’t lie) about what would make us love the new line as much as the lingerie drawer staple we’ve been wearing for years. Behold, his top three reasons:

1. Au revoir, VPL: As a former stylist (he’s worked everywhere from Project Runway to the Cosmopolitan closet), J.D. knows that nothing kills a cute look faster than Visible Panty Line. Enter BARE, which redefines seamless. “This is that panty you can wear when you think you can’t wear a panty,” he says. “You can look bare without actually being bare!”

2. And hello, va-va-voom: So many undies designed to solve problems look, well, like they’re designed to solve problems. Not BARE, which J.D. promises your guy will love as much as you will. “It’s going to look beautiful in the beginning of the night, at the end of the night, and the next morning,” he says.

3. But don’t forget function: Just because it looks and feels like a million bucks doesn’t mean BARE doesn’t work its butt off, too: Thanks to side seams that ensure a smooth finish, leg elastic that prevents slippage, and a cotton lining for ultra comfort, BARE  blows other seamless underwear out of the water.

About Hanky Panky

Over 30 years ago, in 1977, designer Gale Epstein created a hand-made lingerie set for her friend, Lida Orzeck, crafted out of embroidered handkerchiefs. The original designs were the inspiration for the company name, Hanky Panky. Blending traditional with modern glam looks, Hanky Panky is a fashion favorite of countless celebrities.
