Women’s Wear Daily, French Vogue and PopSugar have all called it, so it must be true—folk is now high fashion.

Folk Floral, a new Hanky Panky print for Fall ’15, is “a stripe inspired by traditional Eastern European embroidery,” says Senior Designer Larissa. In this complex print, romantic florals alternate with geometric and scrolling patterns reminiscent of blackwork, an embroidery technique dating back to 13th century Islamic Egypt.

About Hanky Panky

In 1977, designer Gale Epstein created a hand-made lingerie set for her friend, Lida Orzeck, crafted out of embroidered handkerchiefs. The original designs were the inspiration for the company name, Hanky Panky. Blending traditional with modern glam looks, Hanky Panky is a fashion favorite of countless celebrities.
