Summer 2012 clears the way for every woman to release her inner vixen without being overtly seductive if she is not that way inclined. “What is harnessing?” you may ask, “isn’t that something used for horses?” Well, in short, yes but rather than thinking horses, think Spiderman haute couture or S&M like Rihanna. Whatever helps you relate but be sure to be ‘caught’ in this trend.
Harnessing as a trend on its own is not new, neither is webbing per se, however these two trends have evolved by merging into one to create combination looks of harnessing and webbing allowing the wearer to vamp up their style or keep it a little more simple and toned down to their desired level. Whether you like to keep things simple or your style is a little more complex, there is bound to be something for you in this trend, even if that means buying a bra that simply has wider straps. If you are a slightly bustier lady you would no doubt have developed a hatred toward wide straps on all the bras you were forced to buy in years past. The harnessing trend welcomes the wide strap as creative expression. Rather than looking frumpy, it is now trendy. Wide straps are more fun, colorful and edgy than they have ever been with the use of multiple slides and/or fasteners.
We at Hanky Panky have developed something that sits perfectly into this trend but that you will have to wait until Spring 2012 to see. Can’t wait that long? Try layering our ‘Signature Lace Frame Bralette’ over one of our bandeaus or wearing our racer back cami backwards to create a look similar to those below.
