Diary of a Hanky Panky Intern: “Anna-ver-Sui” Party

On Tuesday, October 4th, everybody who’s anybody ventured down to the meatpacking district to help us celebrate the 25th anniversary of “the thong that started it all.” Yes, it has already been 25 years since Gale Epstein and Lida Orzeck decided to gift the world with the best thong ever! Thanks to JD and the rest of our amazing “Party Gurus” at Hanky Panky, the party was celebrated with the utmost style and class! They thought of everything from our very own panty party photo shoot, to customized Baked by Melissa cupcakes with Hanky Panky purple icing.

Designer Anna Sui collaborated with us to create an exclusive 25th anniversary collection of intimates to benefit CFDA‘s Fashion Targets Breast Cancer charity. The flirty silhouettes were framed and strategically placed throughout the party venue and created a fun atmosphere.

People were laughing and the drinks did not stop flowing until the last guests had left. The drink of choice was by far “The Hanky Panky Lemonade.” It was a fluorescent pink drink that was the perfect combination of sweet and tart. The guests could not get enough of it!

About Hanky Panky

Over 30 years ago, in 1977, designer Gale Epstein created a hand-made lingerie set for her friend, Lida Orzeck, crafted out of embroidered handkerchiefs. The original designs were the inspiration for the company name, Hanky Panky. Blending traditional with modern glam looks, Hanky Panky is a fashion favorite of countless celebrities.
