Gale & Lida Make a Holiday Visit to our Contractors!

You all know that Hanky Panky is proudly made in New York. Today, Gale and I had the up-close-and-personal experience of visiting our major contractors bearing Happy Holidays gifts. To visit the producers of Hanky Panky all we had to do is hop into my car and drive within two New York boroughs. We were back in the office in time for afternoon coffee/tea! What a pleasure that is. When we talk to friends who manufacture overseas we hear of horrific trips to factories that involve 13 hour international  flights followed by 3 hour local flights and a 2 hour drive.

At each of our stops we greeted all of the people involved in the cutting, sewing and finishing of the product of which we are so proud. Most of our manufacturing contractors have been working with us for many years and our relationship has taken on a lovely familial feeling. Here is a peek into some of the places where your favorite intimates are produced.

About Hanky Panky

Over 30 years ago, in 1977, designer Gale Epstein created a hand-made lingerie set for her friend, Lida Orzeck, crafted out of embroidered handkerchiefs. The original designs were the inspiration for the company name, Hanky Panky. Blending traditional with modern glam looks, Hanky Panky is a fashion favorite of countless celebrities.
