Summer 2016 is Bold and Bright


Hanky Panky’s Summer 2016 color palette is an updated mix of soft neon pop colors and rich tropical hues. The Signature Lace Palette consists of Sizzle Pink, Calypso Blue, Salsa, Lime Sherbet, Sapphire, Sun Kissed, and Wild Orchid. Hanky Panky BARE fashion colors are Coral, Cobalt, and Hot Fuchsia. The new Heather Jersey color is denim with chambray-ivory trim.

The first delivery of Summer 2016 is joyful and full of color. Prints include Rainbow Stripe, a cheery multicolor bias stripe, and Tropical Bloom, a feminine island floral. Fashion groups include Bahama Mama, a bright galloon lace in peacock blue with passionate pink trim and Heather & Lace in light grey heather with sizzle pink signature lace trims.

The second delivery of Summer 2016 evokes sunny summer days spent on the beach. Prints include Jakarta, inspired by traditional wood-block printing techniques, Cabana Stripe, a bold beach umbrella stripe, and Stars and Stripes, a patriotic combination of red and white stripes with white stars on a field of blue.

The final delivery of Summer 2016 has an eclectic, bohemian mood. Prints include Key West, a playful tropical floral on a bright pink ground, Marrakesh, a blue and white print inspired by traditional weaving techniques, and Bitty Kitty animal-print jersey, trimmed in classic black. The new fashion groups are Dahlia, a playful yet sophisticated floral galloon lace in navy and pink, and Night Lily, ivory and fuchsia flowers on navy blue chiffon.

In 1977, designer Gale Epstein created a hand-made lingerie set for her friend, Lida Orzeck, crafted out of embroidered handkerchiefs.
