Trade Show Season!

As the days grow longer and the winter snow showers become sparse, we are reminded springtime is not the only thing approaching: it’s trade show season.

The biannual Curve Expo Lingerie trade shows were held this February at the Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas, and the Javits Center in New York City. A wide variety of intimate apparel wholesalers—from the sexiest of lingerie and swimwear vendors, to the highest quality shapewear manufacturers—exhibit their latest and greatest fashions for the fall season. Retailers survey the scene to discover the latest trends in the market, and discover new opportunities.

This year, buyers were buzzing with excitement over the new developments in the intimate apparel industry.

Stepping away from the classic lingerie color palette of black, reds, and pinks, this year wholesalers showed lines of bright, rainbow colored panties and bras that left buyers yearning for the summer season. Also, the emergence of hot, new designers added a fresh new perspective to the lingerie scene. Shapewear and hosiery wholesalers have been pushing the envelope of fashion, providing the usual functional staples with a chic and modern twist. With an exciting atmosphere this season, buyers were in a good mood and eager to buy.

Hanky Panky was right on trend with a bright, fresh color palette—from fluorescent neons and cheerful, Crayola®- inspired colors for spring and summer, to rich jewel tone hues for fall, our palette caught the attention of many buyers. Our booth received an especially wild response to our newest collaboration shipping this summer: Sanrio’s Hello Kitty.

Hanky Panky and Hello Kitty have teamed up to create a new line of products, which turned quite a few heads at the trade shows. The exciting partnership will feature Hanky Panky’s signature lace styles with beautiful detailed features and playful graphics. Buyers were impressed by the elegant and eye-catching new styles, and are eager to get them into their stores.

Both shows proved to be a hit with retailers!

Looking to see us at the next trade show? This week we are invading the Camex trade show in Salt Lake with our collegiate line.

Go team Hanky Panky!
