Weddings: Bridal Shower Favors

Traditionally, bridal showers are a party for the bride, her closest female friends and family members, where she is showered with love, advice and gifts. Usually the Maid of Honor (MOH), a close friend or relative will take on the task of throwing the shower. If you happen to be one of these lucky girls, then you probably already know that there is quite a bit of planning and preparation that goes into the shower. One of the joys associated with hosting the bridal shower is providing a little favor for everyone to take home. Here are some creative ideas for any bridal shower.

Begin by purchasing various jars or containers. We just love the idea of using a vial bottle (like this “sweet send-off”), or a mini jar (like these glass jars), or a Mason jar. Feel free to mix and match all sorts of styles and sizes. Fun favor ideas include filling the jars with the following. Undies: Stuff a bright colored pair of Hanky Panky panties in the jar. Spices: Fill up the jar with the bride’s favorite cooking spice. Sweets: Put all the bride’s favorite candies into the jars. Seeds: using a little bit of soil, plant some wild flowers in each jar for guests to take home and enjoy as they bloom. Beauty: Put in a fun little lip gloss for the girls to enjoy. Spread: if you love cooking, can some homemade jam in little jars. Make sure to tell everyone to spread the love (check out these mini jars of jam). Whatever you decide to put in the jar, be creative, keeping with the bride’s personal style!

About Hanky Panky

Over 30 years ago, in 1977, designer Gale Epstein created a hand-made lingerie set for her friend, Lida Orzeck, crafted out of embroidered handkerchiefs. The original designs were the inspiration for the company name, Hanky Panky. Blending traditional with modern glam looks, Hanky Panky is a fashion favorite of countless celebrities.
