I am lucky enough to have been asked to be a bridesmaid in not one, but two weddings this summer! Yet I feel overwhelmed as well as honored. Well, honored to be asked by both friends, and mostly overwhelmed by one of them.

Anyone who has been a bridesmaid for a demanding friend can attest to the fact that intense brides tend to quickly spiral out of control, especially in dealing with their bridesmaids. An otherwise normal friendship (once a week dinner or cocktail dates, a couple of emails during the work week, an occasional girls trip to Miami), somehow escalates into a daily barrage of hysterical phone calls and GChat conversations about which weekend to have her bachelorette party.

My other bridesmaid friend is the complete antithesis. She is even letting me (the fashion expert, in her words) pick the bridesmaid dress! I have come up with a few fabulous options around the $200-$250 price range she requested.
