7 Ways to Repurpose Holiday Gift Boxes

Hanky Panky incorporates the “3 R’s” of environmentally-conscious living—Reduce, Reuse & Recycle—in just about every aspect of its manufacturing and corporate operations, including the striking gift packing for our Signature Lace Thong multi-packs. Hanky Panky gift boxes are made of recycled materials and are themselves recyclable (including the clear plastic panels used in the box tops, which is made from polyethylene terephthalate, or PET, plastic). But before you toss one of our beautiful gift boxes in the recycling bin, consider reusing it. To get your “creative environmentalism” juices flowing, here are seven ways Hanky Panky staffers repurpose our gift boxes:

Nail Polish Organizer

This darling polka dot box, originally used for a Hanky Panky Thong 5-Pack sold exclusively by Nordstrom, will have a second career as a nail polish organizer.

Manicure Care Package

A self-assembled manicure toolkit is an easy, useful and inexpensive gift for yourself or a friend. This leopard print silver box houses the Hanky Panky Low Rise Thong 4-Pack ($72), available in two colorways on hankypanky.com.

Jewelry Box

Organize and display your baubles in Hanky Panky’s unique gift boxes. The metallic leopard print heart box (left) is the romantic packaging for Hanky Panky’s 2015 Valentine’s Day Thong 3-Pack ($54), still available at select retailers.

Purim begins tomorrow, Wednesday, March 4th, Easter is around the corner, and colorful candy in a snazzy box is a great gift on any day!

Lipstick Case

Luscious lips deserve luxurious cases. Organize your favorite lipsticks and glosses in the metallic leopard gift box for Hanky Panky’s Original Rise Thong 2-Pack ($38). Available on hankypanky.com.

Office supplies

An organized desk helps keep an organized mind. Add some pizzaz to your office by storing supplies in a Hanky Panky glitter houndstooth gift box.

What would life be like if you could actually find the charger you needed when you needed it? One enterprising Hanky Panky staffer put our chevron print gift box to use in her mission to find out.

About Hanky Panky

In 1977, designer Gale Epstein created a hand-made lingerie set for her friend, Lida Orzeck, crafted out of embroidered handkerchiefs. The original designs were the inspiration for the company name, Hanky Panky. Blending traditional with modern glam looks, Hanky Panky is a fashion favorite of countless celebrities.
