Bralette mania has finally hit the media. Long-lost relatives and high-school acquaintances have been forwarding me numerous news articles about this “new” lingerie silhouette. (FYI, Hanky Panky has consistently included bralettes on our line for literally decades.)

And I can see why people are finally embracing the magic of throwing on a pretty, comfy, soft little bralette in a beautiful color, and letting it show. A drawer full of skin-tone seamless bras is extremely sensible, but not particularly fun or exciting.

I especially love the way the bralette layering trend was explored in depth in Sarah Burton’s Autumn/Winter 2016 collection for Alexander McQueen. Lacy layers, cutouts and plunging necklines allow pretty lace bralettes to take center stage.

An elegant and flattering silhouette, the high apex bralette trend is showing no signs of slowing down, either. Our latest take on this style is our Signature Lace Valerie Bralette.  Partially lined in soft (and opaque) Supima® cotton, with more coverage than a basic triangle, and available in five fashion-right colors, this bralette was made to be shown off. Available in sizes XS to L, to fit A to C cups best.

About Hanky Panky

In 1977, designer Gale Epstein created a hand-made lingerie set for her friend, Lida Orzeck, crafted out of embroidered handkerchiefs. The original designs were the inspiration for the company name, Hanky Panky. Blending traditional with modern glam looks, Hanky Panky is a fashion favorite of countless celebrities.
