The women of Hanky Panky are a diverse bunch. And we all have different ways of being active and keeping fit. There is one thing we all have in common, though—we all love wearing Hanky Panky while doing our activity of choice!
Here are a few Hanky Panky staffers’ favorite active pursuits, and what they love to wear.
Hanky Panky at the Stable:
Gale, Hanky Panky Co-founder, Creative Director and President
My sport of choice is horseback riding for physical AND mental well-being.
For any activity there should be no distractions, especially of the ill-fitting or shifting panty kind.
Although many equestrian women I know swear by the Hanky Panky thong for no VPL confidence, my top choice for riding is the BARE or signature lace boyshort (also no panty lines). When I’m out in the hot sun all day, I make a set of the BARE boyshort (under riding pants) and the BARE camisole (under a white shirt to deflect the sun). The BARE microfiber nylon wicks away moisture and keeps me comfortable in heat of summer.
Hanky Panky on the Court:
Lida, Hanky Panky Co-Founder and CEO
When I do my 20-minute a week slow motion, high intensity strength training at InForm, I wear whatever I’ve put on that morning because this particular workout—as intense as it is—does not require any special clothing. My entire underwear wardrobe is a candidate for InForm—from boyshorts to bikeshorts to thongs! (Skirts and dresses are not recommended, however.)

I live in Hanky Panky stretch lace thongs and I love tap dancing, social dancing, zumba-ing and playing tennis and paddle in them. I even went zip lining in Hanky Panky lace thongs! They are so comfortable as they breathe with your body temperature changes and stretch with your body movements. I love the fact that friends of all ages also love to exercise and dance in them.
Hanky Panky at the Gym:
Kim, Sr. Merchandise & Product Development Manager
Health and fitness have always been a number one priority for me and my family. Whether I am in the gym doing hand stand pushups, getting thru a WOD or out for a run, my favorite go-to panty is always the Hanky Panky BARE Eve thong—knowing that I am dressed for the task helps me achieve my goals!
Hanky Panky at the Studio:
Larissa, Sr. Designer
I take classical ballet and yoga classes a few nights a week. I love how internally-focused these activities are, and I find they complement each other nicely. Since they both require a lot of concentration, flexibility, and unnatural extensions of the limbs, I like to wear a bodysuit or leotard over a sports bra, along with yoga crops or footless tights and shorts, layered with a top or sweater (when I’m warming up—the top gets tossed once I start “glowing”). The BARE bodysuit is great, because it’s super soft, wicks sweat, and the legs stay in place during grands battements, splits, and forward folds. I also love how a bodysuit makes me more aware of my posture and alignment—a subtle reminder to “pull-up” when I’m at the barre or doing center work.
Someone once explained mindfulness to me as total engagement with what you are doing in that moment, when there is no room for self-conscious thoughts. Recently, I found it at a flying trapeze class at the España-STREB Trapeze Academy in Brooklyn. I had butterflies on the platform, and I cataloged my mistakes as soon as I was out of lines, but when I was “flying,” every part of me was just trying to do the trick well. Hours after class ended, I was still flying high.
