Hanky Panky + Best Friends Animal Society “Yappy Hour”

Hanky Panky + Best Friends Animal Society

Earlier this week, an assortment of New York’s furriest fashionistas and their humans joined Hanky Panky at the (pet-friendly) Soho Grand Hotel for  “yappy hour” in support of Best Friends Animal Society. Attendees included representatives from Vogue, Cosmopolitan, Seventeen, Redbook, Buzzfeed, Glossy, Man Repeller, and PopSugar.

Best Friends Animal Society is the only national animal welfare organization focused exclusively on ending the killing of dogs and cats in America’s shelters. A leader in the no-kill movement, Best Friends runs the nation’s largest no-kill sanctuary for companion animals, as well as lifesaving programs in collaboration with its nationwide network of members and partners working to Save Them All®.

For this collaboration, Hanky Panky worked with Best Friends and Los Angeles based street artist olive47 to create a capsule collection featuring an adorable cat and dog print on our favorite Signature Lace lingerie styles.

Special guest and Hurricane Harvey orphan Merci charmed both human and canine attendees with his calm, affectionate demeanor and dashing good looks. He is looking for his forever home and is available for adoption at Best Friends’ New York Adoption Center.

*UPDATE: Merci has found his forever family!*

Here are a few of our favorite photos from the event!

And while the cats of Hanky Panky prefer to party à la maison, they, too are fans of the collaboration and sported printed lace bandanas created exclusively for event attendees.

About Hanky Panky

In 1977, designer Gale Epstein created a hand-made lingerie set for her friend, Lida Orzeck, crafted out of embroidered handkerchiefs. The original designs were the inspiration for the company name, Hanky Panky. Blending traditional with modern glam looks, Hanky Panky is a fashion favorite of countless celebrities.
