We started the Thong Diary in 2008 to collect and share the many touching and often hilarious stories we hear from friends, family, and customers about their Hanky Panky lingerie. From the Thong Diaries, we’ve learned that Hanky Panky has its own small but delightful role to play in women’s married lives, recoveries from divorce and illnessprofessional pursuits, physical fitness, family life, as well as being a staple ingredient in the diet of their beloved canine companions.

We are proud that word-of-mouth has been a big driver of our company’s growth over the past 38 years because that is a testament to the quality of the garments we make. But, as Gale often says, social media is where word-of-mouth happens these days. So at the beginning of the new year, we asked our Instagram and Facebook followers to share their Hanky Panky stories. All of the entries we received were great, but this one by @babeezmomma went straight to our fun-loving hearts:

I was at a Wiz Khalifa concert with my girlfriend and our teenage sons. I had a sundress on and decided I would throw my Hanky Panky on the stage. (Our sons had moved to another area for the concert.) I missed the stage and my underwear landed in the security pit. At the end of the show, I asked the security guard for my underwear back. They were new and I didn’t want them to go to waste. He reluctantly handed them back to me.

About Hanky Panky

In 1977, designer Gale Epstein created a hand-made lingerie set for her friend, Lida Orzeck, crafted out of embroidered handkerchiefs. The original designs were the inspiration for the company name, Hanky Panky. Blending traditional with modern glam looks, Hanky Panky is a fashion favorite of countless celebrities.
